So many people think that you can only wear print on one half of your body or the other…however I think that if you find the right prints you can wear them together.
The key to this look is finding the right prints with a similar colour theme running through them. That same thread of colour will encourage your eyes to view the whole outfit with balance and the clashing print will not seem to matter.

Also taking into consideration the size of the print is important. With a larger print on your bottom half, I’d opt for a smaller print on your top half, so long as the colours are similar. Having this variation will again give the appearance of balance. Having an area of plain whether it be a shoe, belt or handbag will offer your eyes space to see the whole combination. Go on, experiment, I dare you!
I consider a stripe a print – so adding a striped top to a bold floral printed bottom can be a total success so long as there is a familiar colour theme. If you are nervous about prints but want to have a little try, the easiest and most effective way to start is to add a patterned silk scarf onto one of your favourite handbags as an accessory. This will add a punch of fun to your look and so long as the colours are in the same family it will work – what have you got to lose?
