The right jewellery can make or break an outfit. Adding the right jewellery to a ‘jeans and jumper’ combo can turn a plain outfit into an outstanding one. With just a little thought and a few added items you will look far more polished and pulled together in the simplest of outfits.
"It’s like adding sprinkles to a perfectly iced cake – it just gives you that extra sparkle and pizazz!"
I love a statement necklace, and when worn over a cashmere crew neck and barrel leg jean, it brings it into a whole new place. Alternatively add in some statement earrings when wearing a plain top, a bright lip and you are good to go. I would always opt for either one or the other though -you don’t want huge statement earrings and a complicated statement necklace – for me that’s just too much and the two items would always fight for attention making your outfit look fussy and overdone.

Knowing whether your skin tone suits gold, silver or bronze jewellery is the first place to start. I love mixing special pieces like my beloved cross necklace with costume jewellery – it’s a way to really experiment with a look. Don’t be afraid to layer up either – add in chains of different lengths and different colours.
There’s also nothing wrong in my opinion in mixing up your metals – add in your favourite silver chain to a stack of golds and don’t be afraid too to throw on that holiday shell necklace that you bought on the beach in Spain, layered up with your finest diamonds – it will look brill. I assure you…
This is how you dress for your personality, and you create your own unique look that’s personal to you and special to you.
"Life is not a dress rehearsal, this is it and you only get one shot at it – don’t save your pieces for best – get them out and get them on."
